UPAYA MENDUKUNG TUJUAN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGS) MELALUI PELATIHAN LITERASI STEAM BAGI GURU-GURU BAHASA INGGRIS SMP DI KABUPATEN LAHAT

Abstract

Community Service Activities (PPM) were carried out in Lahat Regency, South Sumatra. The partners in this activity are teachers at the English Subject Teachers' Conference (MGMP) at Junior High Schools (SMP) in Lahat Regency with a target audience of 25 people. The aim of this activity is to realize the role of universities in improving teachers' teaching experience related to STEAM-based literacy learning and increasing teachers' capacity and understanding in STEAM-based literacy skills. The problem experienced by teachers is the low knowledge and skills regarding STEAM learning. The methods used are training and discussion about STEAM-based literacy. This method is implemented with partner groups and then evaluation is carried out according to the required needs. This activity lasts for approximately 40 hours both online and outside the network. Before the series of activities begins, participants answer initial test questions (pre-test). The output obtained is the skills and changes in teacher’s insight in STEAM learning obtained from increasing the final test score (post-test)).
