Pandemi Covid-19 belum juga berakhir, masyarakat harus beradaptasi dengan kebiasaan hidup baru atau disebut dengan ‘new normal life’ dalam seluruh aspek kehidupan termasuk dalam Pendidikan, sehingga diperlukan karakter adaptif. Di sisi lain dihadapkan pada kecenderungan penurunan kualitas karakter generasi muda yang memerlukan penguatan Pendidikan karakter berbasis Pancasila di sekolah sebagai salah satu community of character. Tentunya perlu aktualisasi Pendidikan karakter yang sudah dilaksanakan di sekolah selama ini dan adaptasi di era New Normal, karena peserta didik masih melakukan pembelajaran jarak jauh (belajar dari rumah) dan mulai kembali pembelajaran tatap muka secara terbatas. Pendidikan karakter di Era New Normal dilaksanakan melalui tiga format, yaitu: 1) Kegiatan habituasi meliputi kegiatan pembudayaan (internalization) dan pelembagaan (institusialization) karakter sesuai kondisi Pandemi Covid-19, dimana dalam prosesnya harus menerapkan prinsip keteladanan, teguran, penghargaan, dan penegakan aturan; 2)  Integrasi Pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran campuran (blended learning) dilakukan di dalam keseluruhan komponen pembelajaran (tujuan, materi, metode, media, sumber, dan evaluasi) dan keseluruhan tahapan pembelajaran (kegiatan pendahuluan, kegiatan inti, dan kegiatan penutup; dan 3) Pendidikan karakter pun harus melibatkan masyarakat melalui kolaborasi sekolah-guru-orang tua melalui serangkaian kegiatan diantaranya home visit, Case Conference, Komite Sekolah, komunikasi melalui surat menyurat, daftar nilai/Raport, Buku Pribadi/Buku Penghubung, Perjanjian atau komitmen orang tua dengan sekolah, dan whatsapp group untuk komunikasi lebih intens dan sharing informasi. 

  

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has not yet ended, people must adapt to new living habits or what is called the 'new normal life' in all aspects of life including education, so adaptive character is needed. On the other hand, they are faced with a tendency to decrease the quality of the character of the younger generation which requires strengthening Pancasila-based character education in schools as one of the community of character. Of course, it is necessary to actualize character education that has been carried out in schools so far and adaptation in the New Normal era, because students are still doing distance learning (learning from home) and starting face-to-face learning on a limited basis. Character education in the New Normal Era is carried out in three formats, namely: 1) Habituation activities include internalization and institutionalization of characters according to the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic, which in the process must apply the principles of exemplary, reprimand, appreciation, and enforcement. rule; 2) The integration of character education in blended learning is carried out in all learning components (objectives, materials, methods, media, sources, and evaluations) and all stages of learning (preliminary activities, core activities, and closing activities; and 3) Character education must also involve the community through school-teacher-parent collaboration through a series of activities including home visits, case conferences, school committees, communication via correspondence, grade lists/reports, personal books/liaison books, agreements or commitments from parents to schools, and whatsapp group for more intense communication and information sharing.
