This research focuses to reveal the utterance of hashtag #MataNajwaMenantiTerawan and purpose of empty-chair interview at Mata Najwa using critical discourse analysis (CDA). The approach of research using three-dimensional CDA of Norman Fairclough has a purpose to describe macro, micro, and mezzo. This study also describes social, political, and cultural situation level by linguistic aspects. The result of study shows that linguistic aspect used in #MataNajwaMenantiTerawan is a metaphor. The movement is indicated as social and institutional criticism of the government in Covid-19 management. Then, an empty-chair interview is aimed to make points of public criticism of the failure of the health minister. Related to Mata Najwa and Narasi TV as neutral and independent mass media, it is acceptable journalistically to have criticism of the government during the crisis of Covid- 19 crisis in Indonesia. Teachers have to learn new strategies and use a variety of strategies for teaching during this online learning. One of the most important skills to learn is speaking, because based on regulations from the minister of education and culture on the 2013 curriculum, students must understand speaking well because it is an important skill in communicating English. When students are able to communicate in English they can express their ideas and will encourage the development of fluency in their English speaking. Therefore, this article aims to review the pedagogy in online learning. It focuses on the theoretical and practical concept of online learning in terms of technology integration, classroom interaction, and online assessment. During the implementation of online learning, there are numerous reported impacts, both opportunities and challenges, faced by teachers. First, online learning allows teachers to be flexible in integrating the technology tools and the internet in seek of knowledge and transfer it to others. Unfortunately, lack of knowledge and training of technology integration somehow is likely to face technical problem in use. Second, online learning promotes good and effective classroom interaction if some factors, such as instruction, learners, and physical factors are settled. By this time, English had become the second language of many former British colonies and also the language of science, engineering, information technology, medicine, and tourism. Consequently, English became an international language between nations. In the midst of this globalized and international scene emerged the phenomenon of Third Culture Kids (TCKs). This term refers to children who grew up in a culture different from the one in which his or her parents grew up. These children need to adapt not just to a different culture, but also acquire new languages in order to communicate and express themselves. This study investigated about developing students’ vocabulary mastery during the Covid-19 pandemic by using blindfold games in online study class. The main problem of this study was to see there was significant improvement or not after the students was taught vocabulary by using blind fold game. The objective of this study is to find out whether Blind fold Games significantly improve the students’ vocabulary achievement. This study used pre-experimental with one group pre-test post-test design. The population of this study is the 11<sup>th</sup> grade student major of Hotel of SMK Madyatama Palembang which is divided into two classes with total number 56 students. This study used random sampling by 28 samples from population. The data were collected through vocabulary test with 30 questions and analysed by using Wilcoxon test formula. The objective of this study was to find out The Parents’ Perceptions of Primary School towards Online Learning and to find out the factors that influence the student’s ability in writing descriptive text of the eighth-grade students of SD N 9 Lubai Ulu. The writers used descriptive method to conduct this study. Then, the population of this study was all of parent of students at SD N 9 Lubai Ulu. Next, the writers used simple random sampling technique to get the sample; the total of the sample was 86 parents. The writer used test and questionnaire in collecting the data. Based on the finding, the writers concluded that the students’ parents of SD N 9 Lubai Ulu thought that using Whatsapp as platform online learning during the COVID-19 Pandemic Period was not effective for their children. Most of them gave negative answer for each statement. The answer of strongly disagree and disagree were become their major answer of the questionnaire given. Based on the mean score of perception, the students’ parents of SD N 9 Lubai Ulu was in disagree category. COVID-19 pandemic forces the teaching and learning activities carrying out online which become a new challenge for teachers and students all over the world. This paper focuses on the challenges in teaching and learning speaking during COVID-19 pandemic and the possible solution to overcome those challenges. Several related literature are used to describe and analyze what are the online learning challenges and how teachers deal with the challenges especially speaking. The findings revealed various challenges from the general problem related to the internet connection and devices to the specified one such as students’ readiness to learn speaking which leads to lack of speaking skills, do not know what to speak because of enable to elaborate the materials given. Quantitative descriptive method used for research methodology. 501 data of four years Business Administration students’ TOEIC (Test of English as International Communication) test scores were collected from 2018 to 2021. These data were analysed using Excel Quantitative Descriptive Statistics Program. The result was the decline of average scores of the English Proficiency, listening, and reading comprehension in online learning during Covid-19 pandemic. The conclusion was the use of social media as learning support was more beneficial when it was done under the teacher's control. This community service aimed to conduct a workshop on creating presentation videos of teaching materials with the presenter's face using the newest version of Ms. PowerPoint 2019 for teachers at SMA Srijaya Negara to simplify the learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. The community service team used a workshop method. Ms. PowerPoint 2019 was cheaper than an online platform like Canva since the teachers did not need an internet connection to use it. The teachers made teaching material videos according to their subjects. They presented the result of their works in front of the class. The other participants commented on the teacher's work. They revised the video based on comments and suggestions from their colleagues. The community service team suggested the teachers upload their teaching materials video on YouTube or the official school website. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara mengidentifikasi kearifan lokal yang terdapat dalam cerpen Jalak di Punggung Kerbau karya Romi Zarman. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan antropolgi sastra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kearifan lokal dalam cerpen Jalak di Punggung Kerbau karya Romi Zarman, antara lain sebagai berikut; dari aspek pandangan hidup (filsafat), masyarakat Minangkabau percaya bahwa wanita hamil besar dilarang keluar rumah untuk keselamatan ibu dan anak, dari aspek sikap sosial dan nasihat, terdapat hubungan yang harmonis antara binatang (kerbau dan burung jalak) dan manusia dalam bentuk saling menjaga, serta dari aspek kebiasaan hidup sehari-hari tampak bahwa saling membantu antara suami dan istri dalam pekerjaan rumah tangga sangat dihargai. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analitis dalam kalimat analogi dan kalimat negasi dalam tata Bahasa Indonesia. Metode yang dipakai adalah perbandingan dan analogiserta pendekatan Hahslm 472319. Hasil yang diperoleh bahwa perbandingan kata tidak dan keculai dengan kalimat lain dapat dibandingkan dengan sekuen ibadah kemudian manusia. Makna QS. Adz-Dzariyat [51]:56 yang memiliki kata negasi tidak kecuali yaitu dan tidak aku ciptakan jin dan manusia kecuali untuk ibadah memperkuat adanya urutan obyek kata. Similaritas obyek dalam kalimat Aku punya tamu kemudian membuat kopt menjadi sesuai penegas paradigma adanya proses pendahulu sebelum aktivitas utama. Kehadiran blue print merupakan refleksivitas dari konstanta 12 yang tersimpan dari nomor surat ayat Quran 51.56 yaitu (1+5) dikali (5+6) akar digit 2 menjadi 6x2=12. Pelatihan TOEF bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami materi TOEFL dengan tujuan memperoleh peningkatan skor TOEFL. Metode yang digunakan adalah melalui ceramah dan diskusi yang dilakukan via zoom dan diakhiri dengankegiatan tes. Kegiatan ini dilakukan terhadap tiga puluh enam siswa SMK Negeri Panyingkiran Majalengka. Selama proses kegiatan ini, para siswa sangat antusias untuk memahami materi TOEFL. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada November 2020—Januari 2021. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini adalah adanya peningkatan skor TOEFL di atas 400. Peningkatan skor ini cukup signifikan karena siswa yang mengikuti pelatihan ini adalah siswa yang baru pertama kali mempelajari TOEL. Para siswa memiliki pengalaman pertama dalam mempelajari dan mengikuti tes ini. Therefore, it is imperative that digital literacy becomes the focus of 21st century education. The shift to online teaching during the pandemic has intensified the use of digital tools and online sources in learning. Despite the necessity to incorporate digital technologies and the teaching of digital literacy skills in the classroom, many teachers are not equipped to do this. This community research project focused on providing a training on digital literacy for 85 teachers of English who taught in the secondary and high schools in various regencies within the South Sumatra Province. After being involved in virtual training and teacher study group, the teachers showed higher perceived digital literacy ability and intention of use in their classrooms.
