Weight training and plyometrics: do they affect the flying shoot of handball athletes?
Main Article Content
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an interaction between the training method and motor skills on the results of the flying shoot in the handball game at the public senior high school 14 Palembang club. The research method used was quasi-experimental. The population in this study were all athletes of the handball club public senior high school 14 Palembang, totaling 20 athletes. Sampling using a total sampling system of 20 athletes. The data collection technique in this study was a shooting shoot test twice, namely the initial test and the final test, in a handball game at the public senior high school 14 Palembang club. The analysis technique uses an experimental formula that looks for two differences between the weight training method and motor skills. Based on the results of data analysis that has been carried out, fcount is 146.3 compared to 0.05 (ftable = 2.33) with degrees of freedom dk = n-1 = 10-1 = 9. it can be said that the hypothesis is accepted. From the results of the analysis above, it can be concluded that there is an influence between the weight training method with pylometric training on the flying shoot results in handball athletes at public senior high school 14 Palembang because fcount>ftable 146.3>2.33).
